Joshua Rainboth

I am 28 years old, born and raised in South Florida. I am currently working as an I.T. Help Desk Technician at an MSSP company called BlueLightIT. I am passionate about anything tech related and always have some project that I am tinkering with. I started this website as a place to record my experiences and help teach others.

How I Started

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with computers. I remember even in elementary school I would play with small motherboards and pretend to be a hacker by mashing at keys on the school computers trying to make different windows pop up(probably didn’t make me any friends the IT department…).

As I got older I found myself trying to mod different games I would play and messing with hardware. By high school I had picked up the C# programming language and started making some small mobile games for fun using Unity.

I’ve always been an avid gamer and as such I decided to build my own PC. I learned all about hardware(CPU’s, Motherboards, RAM, sizes, speeds, etc.) I also ended up building a few of my friends computers as well.

In the beginning of 2021 I decided I wanted to make IT my career. I had already tried working in a few jobs related to my other passions as a personal trainer and a mechanic. I ultimately found that tech was my calling and started working towards certifications. Within two months of starting my journey I received my Comp Tia A+ and started working in my current position. Since I have earned my Network+ and Security+.
